Mục tiêu: Phân tích một số yếu tố liên quan đến gánh nặng chăm sóc bệnh nhân Parkinson có sa sút trí tuệ. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu cắt ngang so sánh trên người chăm sóc chính của 100 bệnh nhân được chẩn đoán bệnh Parkinson theo tiêu chuẩn của Ngân hàng não hội Parkinson Vương quốc Anh (UKPDSBB/United Kingdom Parkinson’s Disease Society Brain Bank), nhóm bệnh nhân Parkinson có sa sút trí tuệ (SSTT) chẩn đoán theo tiêu chuẩn của Hiệp hội Tâm thần học Hoa Kỳ (DSM –V) tại Bệnh viện Lão khoa Trung Ương từ tháng 06 năm 2020 đến tháng 05 năm 2021. Kết quả: Tổng điểm Barthel chung của các bệnh nhân có mối tương quan rất chặt chẽ với điểm MCSI của người chăm sóc (|r|>0,7). Điểm MCSI của người chăm sóc cao hơn ở các nhóm bệnh nhân có đồng thời cả SSTT và các rối loạn tâm thần hành vi: ảo giác, trầm cảm, lo âu, rối loạn ăn uống. Kết luận: Các triệu chứng tâm thần và hành vi gây ảnh hưởng nhiều đến gánh nặng chăm sóc của người chăm sóc bệnh nhân Parkinson.
