Abstract
Quantitative vestibular function assessment plays a significant role in supporting the diagnosis of vestibular disorders and has been recommended for monitoring patients before and after vestibular rehabilitation, vestibular schwannoma surgery, cochlear implantation, and other interventions. These methods have all been validated, are non-invasive, and are easy to perform in healthcare settings. Among them, caloric testing (videonystagmography, VNG), rotary chair testing, and the video head impulse test (vHIT) are three tools officially recommended by international associations for the diagnosis of vestibular disorders. In Vietnam, several Neurology and Otorhinolaryngology centers have now begun implementing these techniques in clinical practice. Therefore, we conducted this review to update information on the applicability of quantitative vestibular function assessment methods.
