Results of a multimodal treatment program for patients with chronic pain at Thai Nguyen central hospital

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the current status of chronic pain diseases treated by multimodality method at the Department of Neurology - Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. Subjects: 121 patients with chronic pain diseases inpatient treatment at the neurology department - Thai Nguyen Central Hospital from January 2022 to June 2022. Methods: Cross-sectional study. Results: Average age: 68.63 ± 15.21. Patients treated with medical: 35.5%; medical treatment combined with rehabilitation 58.7%; medical treatment combined with surgery 5%, combined treatment between medicine, surgery and rehabilitation 0.8%. VAS score before treatment: 5.26 ± 1.28, VAS after treatment 2.38 ± 0.67. Conclusion: Patients with chronic pain responded to multimodality therapy.
