Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is to determine quality of life score and analyze some factors related to quality of life in patients with Parkinson. Subjects and methods:   a cross-sectional study of 55 outpatients with Parkinson's disease treated at Dong Da General Hospital from April 2025 to July 2025. Results: The median  quality of life score was 27,37 ± 14,13, moderate-severe disease stages (stages III, IV, V) had worse quality of life than mild disease stages (stages I, II) (p < 0,05). There was a mildly inverse correlation between the age of the disease onset and quality of life PDQ-SI total score (r = - 0,273; p< 0,05).  There was a moderate positive correlation between the duration of the disease and quality of life PDQ-SI total score (r = 0,423; p < 0,01). There was a moderate positive correlation between the degree of the movement disorder (MDS-UPDRS - III) and quality of life PDQ-SI total score (r = 0,419; p < 0,05). Conclusions: The age of the disease onset, the duration of the disease, the degree of the movement disorder seviously  affect Parkinson patients’quality of life.

Key words: Parkinson’s disease, quality of life.
